adjusting idle?

adjusting idle?

my cuzz got a 90 240 and it idels a little higher than 1 thou rpm. and we couldnt find where that thing where you adjust is at. any ideas? thanks.

is that with the A/C on? it will idle higher with AC on.
Adjust your thrttle cable, that should also lower it (its to the right of the throttle body)

And if you cut your intake box, and remove silencer (*search it*) you will idle about 150 lower.

my car runs high on ideal butt goes to 900 when its warmed up

idle will be higher the more hp you have usually...

lol... there's a screw on the throttle body for the ka24e I believe... you need to warm your car up, and unplug the TPS sensor before you change it.. then plug it back in... have him buy a book, or download the FSM.. it will save you a lot of hassle.



mine idles about 700.. with the AC on it's around 950. I'm going to take the AC out though, I don't even use it..

700-750 is normal for the ka...with A/C it will be higher. Those sound like good numbers. You're all alright.
