air filter
i have an INJEN intake but the air filters all messed up and im goin to buy a new one but not sure if brands matter. cause i dont wanna buy a cheap one or one that isnt any good. im debating on whether i should get a K&N or HKS (mushroom). which one is better or are there better ones around same price range??? thanks.

I think the Apex dry filter is a little more, but is suppose to perform the best. It doesn't have hte oils in the filter, so it flows more air. The trade off is, it COULD let smaller particles get through, w/o having the oil to catch them.
BTW: I'm from sac also, I see cars from your crew at the gas station down the street from my house. Power inn & Calvine.

i just read a magazine article where they tested apexi, k&n, hks, and one other brand (i forget which). apexi had 1 more hp increase than every other brand, and it filtered the most % of particles.

well since where resurrecting the dead you should also add that the test claimed that all the filters cost the same but that is not true. k&n came in second regarding filtration and costs considerably less than the apex filter. iirc the hks was the worst filter and costs more than the k&n.
