on a random note, i have a '89 with a strong ka24e motor in it and i'm looking to throw a turbo on my baby
just wondering if anyone had any thing to tell me as far as "pre-turbo" engine work. or do i need any?

for those who never knew...Rude240 had a port and polished, milled head...some block work and a host of other goods that were kept very low key....


very low key

i g-tech pro'd at 200hp..

very fast..tons of wheel spin
and i crashed it

but i still have the engine

89 SOHC. custom catback, WAI filter(stock piping) 50 shot NOS,

approximately 190-200HP. Haven't dynoed yet, am just giving an educated guess

depending on the milage, you may need to do a motor build. if under 80K, dont worry about the build up unless you plan on going over 7lbs

that my KA is serious business, and i put alota money and work into it. i just liked to keep my engine under my hood.

1993 240sx KA24DET.
-Garrett T3 turbo on custom turbo manifold with custom 3" downpipe and 3" test pipe. 85mm HKS Hiper Catback. Front mount intercooler, custom i/c piping (redoing this summer with modified HKS sr20 kit.) plugs/wires, walbro 300zxTT fuel pump, nismo 370cc injectors, sard fuel pressure regulator, HKS turbo timer, HKS turbo shield (on the way), JWT turbo ECU (7000red line/no top speed limiter), custom bored center feed-dual outlet fuel rail, ground control springs (425lb in front, 300lb in rear) on KYB AGX with custom coilover setup, ACT clutch kit, B&M short shifter, Fidenza flywheel, Autometer sport comp boost/af/oil pres/fuel pres gauges. I think thats all. She's pretty quick.

To keep it cool and get it to the ground:
Redline Water Weter
Redline tranny oil and VLSD additive
Energy Release Oils additive
CenterForce DF clutch
Approx HP = 174
Approx TQ = 172

Still working on PDM Cams, Valve grind and port match, Pacesetter header powder coated for heat loss and wieght advantage. Wrapped exhaust to CAT.
Looking at another 19-25HP , depending on Matchup of additions.
