Hey folks,

My antenna mast broke so I found a new one for really cheap rather than replacing the motor because that part still works.

The guys at the audio shop told me that if I had the radio turned on and pulled the mast, it would just come out. I tried this with the part that hold the antenna still on the bosy attached and unscrewed and it still won't come out.

It feels like there is a ridge on it or something holding it inside. The new one doesn't show anything that would be holding on if it is designed the same as the factory one.

Has anyone got any experience or ideas on how to take out the mast? I no longer have access to the motor. It has been dynamated in unfortunately.

Any help is appreciated.

get some vice grips attach it to the antenna mast and pull as hard as you freakin can. otherwise ull have to remove the motor and everything and take it apart that way.. hope that helps

 

Cool that helps but it was the answer I wasnt looking forward to. I just dont wanna bend or crack the body around it. Not a fan of bodywork!

i'm having the same problem with my s14...i dont really like my antenna.... and i dont really need it....i dont know how to get it off...anyone know how???
