Anyone got Tires recently ...

Had a flat tire 6months back that was patched .. Now I lose pressure in that tire quite frequently .. About 4 PSI or so every week .. So I was thinking of swapping my tires off .. ( Hate it .. My old tires still have quite a bit of tread in em ) ..

It pours like crazy here at times in North Carolina and so I was wondering what would be a good all season tire .. I am still running stock size 19560R15 .. Does it make any diff to upgrade to 205's ...

Did anybody find a good deal on tires recently .. And ..I have a 92 240SX SE with about 138K miles ...

Thanks Guys ..

Check www.tirerack.com - it should give you a listing of the tires available for the size you want. They have very good prices and selection.

Also, you may want to take a Tire Rack ad out of a magazine and bring it into NTB and see if they will match it. They usually will match +$10 shipping/tire... but I haven't done that in a while.

Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's are not a bad tire for the price, but are not even close to the level of performance of tires like the Yokohama A520. Decent wet traction - I wouldn't try them in the snow.

The move from 195 to 205 is well worth it. This is the third car I have installed wider tires on and it has always been a worthwile mod.

It is also a great bang for your buck because you will get a great deal of use.

I went from 205 to 225's and it seems fine. I also got my tires from tire rack. Their alright. Better than the other places.

Did the stock tires come as 195 or 205?

Mine are 205. I'm wondering if the previous owner ever changed the tires.

Actually that might be true but to some degree. My Base model came with 205. and my SE came with 195. And a set of SE rims I bought off of someone came with 195 also. SO who knows. But I know that the 205 were an upgrade, but don't really know if it came standard on SE's.

You probably can run 215 as widest but will have to go to 55 profile. The rim is not that wide so it might not fit flush with the rim, but that should be the widest on those rims IMHO.

Why would you want that? Seems like a step backwards for a guy who is rolling on 17"s now............
