Thanks stanbo! Greatly appreciated. I have another question if you don't mind. Basically, I want to tighten up my shifter...it's feeling a bit loose. Will a short shifter do that? Or should I get my bushings fixed? What's the best solution?

If you want a more direct feel go with the C's shifter.

If you want a true short shifter go with the B&M shifter.

C's is quiet and direct.

B&M is noisy but short as a mousie's tail.

I have driven cars with both shifters and own the B&M.

Ok, so those would be the top shifters to go with hey? I know this is going to sound really stupid but do you know anything about OBX shifters? I know they're supposed to be really cheap but keep in mind the main goal of the shifter for me is to tighten it up. So aggressive shifts aren't really a concern. With the OBX tighten it up or just shorten it?

i heard from a guy that the OBX shifter is an imitation of the C's shifter.

Wild did you hear my shifter rattle when we took the car for a spin?

I like the OBX if you are looking for an inexpensive shifter. I like to get good stuff though and don't mind if they are not streetable (when it comes to annoyances like sound or hard shifts or squeeling tires).

I know some of our guys have obx but they switch to the b&m when they try mine.

B&M has fixed most of that noise. Pdm-racing sells the B&M for 225 shipped. If you want good service, www.thespeedfactor.com and tell them that Robbie sent you, my friend Berty will be the one you will talk to, the site is unders construction, but he can still get you the parts, just use the email link on the website. The C's is pretty crappy quality and is also taller than the stock shifter... y I donno? But I dont like it.

I have the updated B&M in my car and it rattles at close to redline. Which is fine, because the car is flying and we are jamming at that time anyway.

I say go B&M.

That's cool. I would like a B&M but I'm a bit short on the bling bling these days. I just want to make sure that I don't get the shaft by buying an OBX. Thanks for the advice guys.

Proof in the pudding fellas. If you are in the NE you can come to one of our meets and try out all of our parts and junk. We are user friendly.
