Question base model

If a 240 isn't an SE, so it doesn't have a spoiler or A/C or PW or any of those features, is there anything else different with the performance aspects of the car or anything like that. Does it still have the 155 HP engine or does the base have the older engine? I'm looking into buying a 240 and the one I just found out about isn't an SE and it's not leather so I was just curious. Thanks.

i think they are the same. i think the SE just has the "luxery" options, if you can call them that.

The fact that car is not an SE model doesnt nessasarily mean that it wont have a spoler, AC, or power accesories.
I have a base coupe with OEM spoiler, AC, and power windows (no power locks...dow!) I believe the specific difference is the 16" alloy rims and 5 lug hubs. The SE also has a different front strut.

none of the 240s had the lsd as standard equipment it was always an option even on the SE/LE packaging. Another differance is that most SE's (not all) had sunroofs. also the mirrors on all the SE/LE models are the same color as the car, base modle the mirrors are black.

I thought SOHC was only in the 89 and 90 models. After that the 240s only had DOHC engines.
