did this someone happen to tell you what and where this coil is? the closest thing to a transmission coil that i can think of would be what nissan calls a starter coil. it's part of the alternator.

it can be a lot of things but i was hoping you had been told what this transmission coil is. otherwise it just sounds like someone was pulling your leg. so what exactly happened that caused the battery to die? did you crank the engine until the battery died or did you just park the car and it didn't start when you went to start it?

okay so i took my car to kragen after i got the battery charged and they tested it with my alternator in it...and they said my alternator was bad....all this trouble for the first thing i thought was wrong...i guess it's better to check the alternator while its in your car instead of taking it out and getting it checked...so i'm going to get a new one...you know where they are cheap? i'm going to start looking around, but yeah thanks for your help
