Bay Area Shops

I'm new to the site, I did some searches. What I'm trying to find is a good shop to possibly do a re-build and who will know the KA motor and it's possiblities. I've seen some sites, but what I'm looking for is feedback. I would like to know how your motor is doing.

Thanks!

What bay area? There's alot of bay's around the U.S. dude. So we could be able to help you in a better, organized fashion.

Sorry, I was referring to San Francisco California "The Bay Area" of the West Coast.

Is that a better organized fashion? LOL

Hey ramnailz I just moved from Oceanside, Ca. How's the drift scene there?

The scene is hot, but not in O'side. To much cops.... there's other places that are hot, just not here. Alot of crx and civics still, 240's are creepin' up. I don't drift though. I'm concentrating in other area's in the auto industry. Don't have much time, maybe in 6 months!!!!

He wants to know of a shop to rebuild his engine. He sounds like he wants to get to know 'em so he could "learn" what potentials his ride has. I'd say drive around, their should be a bunch out there!!!!! Ask around, ask mechanics from other shops. I know there's alot in South City. San Bruno might (haven't been their in awhile.) Hit up a guy in a silvia out their, they probably got some hook ups!

Yeah, I know that. I guess he wants someone who has experience with the ka or whatever he has, i don't know! If he's asking for a place to rebuild his engine i'm pretty sure he doesn't have the need to do it himself.

As for rebuilding your engine, not many people can do that (especially with out a shop), obviously you got some good skills. You probably have an @$$ load of experience.

ramnailz understood what I was asking. I'm looking for a 240 with a KA24 to rebuild. I know that there a lot of shops that can build nissans, but there are a lot of shops that do so-so work and aren't as savy as others. My pasts cars were mostly RWD Imports and domestics, so I've had a few bad experiences.
So looking for a good shop is important, as I don't want to go back time and again for something that they said works.

Looking for a decent 240 is hard, as is, there are hardly any out there that I've seen which are under 100k miles on odometer. I know that it's a strong block, but i'd like to rebuild it for peace of mind and for future build up.

I'd like to go NA and IF I don't like it, I'll go F/I. I'm not looking for tons of power, maybe around 200-240whp. That should be reasonable IMPO.

BigVinne if you're out there any advice???

Yeah, you might be asking for to much if you're looking for under 100k miles engine. Your gonna rebuild it anyway but hey, what year are you looking for? Style? There is the ka24e and ka24de, so that depends on what year car you want too. then we might be able to explain more

I'd like to go with the "Kouki" Style 97-98' 240. Is that the KA24DE?
