Best brand of Cold Air Intake?

I am about to go to the store to buy a cold air intake for my 93 S13 and I am wanting the brand where I can get most performance out of....Is AEM any good?

Ebay w/K&n Filter. Done

Don't waste $100-200 or whatever aem charges you for there intake.

That's pretty much what I did except my piping was from OBX, even sold the filter that came with the intake for what my K&N cost so I broke super even.

Hey is this intake any good? http://www.nopionline.com/nopistore/...NISSAN%20240SX its by "Number 1"? i never heard of them. Also I want the full intake not the short ram. Last question...where can I get a iceman cold air intake? I cant find the website nowhere.

silviaks2nr 11-13-2007 02:51 PM

just put a cone filter on the factory intake tube, you arent going to see much performance gain with just an air intake anyhow.

Injen because when the cops pop your hood it has a fat carb badge on it.

In order to get the full effect of the air intake system you need to modify the exhaust as well to increase flow from intake/exhaust.

I bought an AEM intake, and it works great 50 state street legal/smogable.

My car came with an offbrand and I just got it a Dryflow air filter with an AEM sticker. The sticker alone gave me like 15hp.

never heard of "number 1", its some generic crap china company.
I had an Injen short ram and i liked it. I got it super cheap during this Stillen sale though.

Bumnah 11-14-2007 05:29 PM

drop in k&n in my stock air box when i had my ka. cheapest solution and same power gains as far as i am concerned.

jramosthe1st! 11-14-2007 05:34 PM

in my car the drop in k&n filter still seemed to restrict air flow compared to the cone filter.

Man, When i first Became a member of this site, and asked that question. I Got Yelled at by everyone. "USE YOUR SEARCH BUTTON""THIS TOPIC HAS BEEN COVERD BEFORE" blah blah blah and so forth. But they must like you or something. I Was thinking about buying the injen Short Ram w/ the cold air extension. The only draw back to have the cold air is that if it rains and you drive through puddles. You Can Mess Some stuff up Bad. So i would go with the injen Short Ram. But thats just my opinion. What do i know. I'm not a mod or anything.

I bought a AEM short ram couple days ago and the damn thing wouldnt fit cause I got to much around the motor which is why I need the full intake. I really want iceman but i dont think they make for 240's or their out of business cause I cant find their site anywhere on google.
