Okay,
I have a '95, AT s14 with 209,xxx miles right now.
it is sitting fully primered and ready for paint, but I ran low on money... and it also has a partial set(3) of enkei cd-r9's.
My question is, i found an s13 coupe for sale for $650. It has a nasty(bad nasty) catback and a set of $5 rims on it though. I know this stuff can all be replaced. the body is fine except for the R. quarter panel, wich needs replacing. the car is a 5sp, wich is a definite plus. the down sides are the age (it's an 89 with a 95 dohc in it) and the body work.
I'm just in a bind, and would like you guy's opinion on what path to go on. I love the s14, but the temptation of being able to put around 2500-3000 into a car w/ the same motor is pretty strong.
open to ideas....

One thing I've learned is to find a plan and stick to it. I personally like the s14, don't even ask me why, I don't know. But I do know that the best way to build a car is to picture it in your mind, and do it step by step. If your already moving foward with your 14 then I say keep it. If your going to switch projects everytime you find a better deal you'll never finish your car. Unless of course this is a great deal, is it worth it to you to save some money and start over again. Because you may have saved money but you didn't save time. Again, I have no idea where your at with your car now, so it's really up to you...goodluck though
Heh, the s14 is completly stock. the s13 has a pair of recaro knock offs, a 3in catback, is 5spd, flip lights(get to do sleepy eyes yay!) and has a newer motor... i really hope this kid doesn't back down because now I'm really interested in it... I'll let you guys know soon.
Oh yeah, and no more square cups for the s13! (check the "you know you own an s14 when..." thread)
BTW:
How much of a difference in the weight?
I know all s13 kits are compatable with the coupes, but what about the rear bumper, it looks a lot different.

i like the 14 more but i like the tighter lines of the 14 a little more than i like the long loong of the 13. also i agree with ghettostamps, get a project going and then keep it going. if you keep changing your gamneplan every time you get somewhere, you'll end up nowhere. side note: i love the abundance of posts and lack of votes, good stuff ppl!
