thats really odd that the fitting is so long. any kind of o2 sensor would need to be alot further inside the piping. and it is most certainly not an egt gauge (they go on the exh manifold). plug it up

a wideband sensor needs to be directly in the flow of the exhaust, as i said before that fitting is too long to stick any type of o2 sensor in.

what pitch is it?
im sure like a flywheel bolt or something would work. if it's standard, take it to homedepot and get a plug. you could cut it shorter and use it as a wideband if the threads go all the way through the tube

I have pretty much that same test pipe and that bung is plugged up with a bolt. Just Home Depot it.

It's a built in defouler. A lot of aftermarket test pipes and dp's have them now a days. It's there to deter or limit the amount of exhaust flow to the o2 sensor. Therfore, tricking the computer into thinking there is still a catalyst on the car. It' for the secondary or post cat. o2.
