Car wont stay on while in drive..

Car wont stay on while in drive..

I just got my first 240.. But the car wont stay on like when i have it in park the car idles fine but as soon as i put it in drive and i dont have my foot on the gas the car will shut off and when i come to a stop the car wants to shut off.. but it only happens when im in drive.. wat could the problem be?? if anyone can help it'l be appreciated...

the problem is its an auto... on a more serious note, prob the torque converter

I dont think it would be the torque converter ... but they're sayin that it might be the mass air flow sensor thats causing that .. any opinions

MAF, IACV, TPS, there's a whole lotta junk that can cause that. I would start by giving it a tuneup and cleaning out the IACV (Idle Air Control Valve). That should help your idle by leaps and bounds.
