Anyone know where to get a stock camshaft for an 89 240? Preferably the cheapest place available...ive seen some for 500 or so dollars but I dont have that much is there a cheaper place?? Buying an 89 with a messed up camshaft so I need another one...Thanks for the help!

if ur gonna keep ur KA, upgrade to 91 cams. they are better

S'where I got my Rack & Pinion for $60 and Hub and Assembly for $80 and a set of '93 rims for $160. Saves the monay.

 

You might as well get a performance cam shaft while you are at it, this spec will almost make about 15 additional HP@the wheels.
Hybrid KA is a highly reputable company. Gabe z, AKA devious KA in this forum sells it for $185 that is a super good deal.

I dont want to get a high performance cam shaft because im getting rid of the KA in about a year anyways to upgrade to either a CA18DET or a SR20DET or an RB25DET which ever I get my hands on first...I jsut need this cam shaft so i can get the car running untill the engine swap....but 185 for that cam shaft looks sexy...thanks for that site...im going to be picking that up within the next week... thanks again guys

I thought that the solid lifters for $300 was a bomb deal, do you know how hard it is to find solid lifters for even $400. There so hard to find. Hybrid KA is cool, and Gabe schooled me on some KA knowledge, pretty cool guy.........

Why not just find a cheap used head somewhere...

I have a 96 dohc head that will be available in a week. I don't even know if it will work on your block...but just lettin ya know.

and if you haven't bought the car yet, you might want to further investigate how the cam got messed up.

 

The guy Im going to buying the car off of fixed everything else that happened to get flucked up when it broke and he only needed to replace the Cam shaft and he doesnt have money nor the time to do it anymore so he is just selling....well thast what he says still gotta go check it out.
