Cleaned engine now it wont start

OK heres the deal, I decided after having 180k miles on 91 240sx the engine bay and the engine where about due for a cleaning so I go to walmart and purchase some of this degreeser in a pruple bottle. I mix it up real good and start appyling it all over the engine bay. I thought that the pistons where probably pretty dirty with carbon on them(from all the hard driving and getting sideways of course) so I put a little in there let it sit a a half hour then put the spark plugs back on hose down the engine bay after scrubbing alot it looks pretty decent. A few minutes later I try to start it and the starter sounds really wierd and it cranks a few times and just stops. Now am I starting to think its the battery, alternator, or starter, I know its one of those 3, what do you guys think?

Go back to zilvia & leave these people alone. Troll.

About your car problems. It's because your a dumbass. Dont like my awnser. Good. Thats what you get for trying to work on a car, without knowing ****.

Even though I think this is a bogus thread. If it isnt. Then, oh well.
If you think it's the battery, alternator, starter. Why not test them? If you know that much. You would have known enough to know. You shouldnt have done what you did.

wow to answer your ?, when you put that in their you basicaly stripped it of all its oil and when you tryed to start it you probabley seized it. so you ruined your motor.... now either you can do a rebuild, but if you do maybe you should have someone who knows what their doing do it...or...buy another motor and gets some freinds or some one who knows what their doing help you...or buy a jdm motor :-) and have a pro install it!!!

jdm stands for japanese domestic market, japan,s motors are diffrent than ours, alot better, our stuff is caled usdm, for united states domestic market. if you really dont know then no point in making fun of you, you gotta learn...and as long as your willing to... what state do you live in? but anyway you need a new motor!
