Come one come all if you like drifting...
Ok it's been an awful long time since I've been on here but I had some things I wanted to say.
I see a lot of people getting involved with drifting, which is good. Unfortunately many of you are doing this in public places which is not so good. I just wanted to direct your attention quickly to a new project called RegionalRace.com. Its set up so that anyone who wants to participate in any form of motorsports can do so properly and find all the useful information you may need.
No we didn't reinvent the wheel, but we think it can be useful. Please check it out, you can also find many other drifting competitions being held near you.
Here is just an expample of what's been going on. We attended, just to watch, an event held by DGTrials and everyone had plenty of seat time in a safe environment.
Here's the link

WOW!
This is one of the best things to happen in a LONG TIME!
We have needed this forever.
I can't wait to start participating. Thank you so much!
We need to keep people off the streets and on the track.

I'm glad you guys like it. I'm always open to help, so if you know some clubs that aren't listed let me know. You can also post them up on the forum. Not to steal members, this is a 240 specific forum and RegionalRace is a motorsport forum.
Cape240 Check out the MN area on the forums and I will definately try and find you some events.

If you really want to do some circut racing first thing you should do is sign up for one of the many many driving schools. The SCCA has a program that holds courses througought the united states. It's usually one entire weekend with plenty of on course experience. The only thing is you have to provide your own race car, or you can rent one (preffered) for about 600-$1000 dollars. After that you'll get your novice permit and have to enter at least two races within the year to get your license. Then 4 more races to make your license a pro racing license. And then you can race whenever you like, you can even enter other competitions as the SCCA license is most widely accepted. You'll be able to compete in any form of motorsports, not just autocrossing.

keioffice- My car is sitting still. LOL Let me explain
1. I don't have a liscense (i'm 16)
2. MY car isn't registered
3. I'm not going to do any drifting in my neighborhood.
However, in october i'll get some live pics.
Ghoststamp, i don't live in MN, you got the wrong guy!
I was at an SCCA soloII event the other day at a college in my town. First time i've been, it was awesome!
