I need to replace a coolant hose on a ca18det and am wondering if autozone/pep boys doesn't have something close, can I use the rubber line from home depot plumbing section?

If you like collapsed hoses you can. Auto-parts stores have universal hoses. They are most of the time a flesh rubber hose with a steel spring lining. Mostly used on older trucks and cars that they don't make hoses spefically for anymore.

Using **** from Home Depot would pretty much be as smart as using fish-tank tubing for vaccum lines.
