Cornbread in headlight?

Cornbread in headlight?

Hey guys is there any way to clean out the headlights so that is doesnt look like there is exploded cornbread in there?

lazy offhand, but i think in style there is a post about cleaning headlights. maybe search "clean headlight" or something to that effect. but i used plastic polish/cleaner...and on the outside only

Mother Mag and aluminum polish + allot of elbow grease = clean headlights.

Do this many many times, some say use real high grit sandpaper with water, but just do the cleaning with the mag and alimunum polish that comes in a red can and you'll be happy.

this reminds me of those retarded FLITZ! infomercials. they claim that stuff can clean cornbread plastic. im curious, but not enough to throw money at it. maybe you are *shrug*

metal polish + a few coats of wax... if you have time you could wetsand and rubbing compound them.

i think i wet sanded (fine fine fine) WITH plastic polish, then polished, then used turtle wax. a helluva difference. i had my dad do that and his headlights went from yellow to clear. just expect to spend 30-60 minutes.

yeah thats your best bet, and dont take shortcuts if you plan on going with this method. work slowly and evenly, because you may end up doing damage instead. my friend's headlights look like cornbread and we plan on trying this. good luck

where can i get these products?

Where can i get theres polishes and such? Walmart? home depot? lowes? auto zone? advanced auto parts?

murrays (probably autozone as well) has the sandpaper and plastic polish and the other stuff. should be on the same wall

Toothpaste is a fine abrasive. Don't know how effective it would be, but you'd be damn minty.
