Dashboard Lights

Ok, I don't know why, but after I installed my stereo (finally if you guys read the other post lol)...the dash lights don't work (u know spedo, tach, etc). It's not from the stereo cause when I unhooked the stereo again, it still didn't work. It's not the fuses, cause every single fuse in the car is good. Am I missing a connection somewhere or something? Thanks.

i would put money on it thathe has no tail lights as well... if this is the case then in fact there is a blown fuse and the stereo is not hooked up right... check again... turn on your lights and see if your rear parking lights come on...

It's not the switch, cause it's still connected. Any other ideas?

Wow, no offense, but wouldn't that be the first thing I had to do? considering the dash lights only come on when u put the headlights/parkin lights on. Thanks anyways, but yes I've done that.

most likely its the ground. every older nissan i tried putting a deck in had to be grounded to the dash frame cuz the stock wire is junk or something i dunno. and yes this has happened to me. i kept blowing the fuse that lit my cluster(forget which one it was) but after i regrounded it, it worked fine.

I did, custom ground for the head unit, and I've been double checkin fuses and switches. I jsut can't figure out what the problem is.

The dimmer switch itself might be burnt out, you might have fried it when you first turned everything on, you will probaly need a new one.

do the gauges still function (needles move) but just the illumination stopped working - or is the cluster dead?
