dealer discount on parts

Well I was with my mom the other day and we went to the local nissan dealership cause shes looking to buy a Murano in a few months. I figured that since my mom will be wanting to buy a $30k suv, I might have an oppurtunity to get some nismo parts at a reduced rate. I figured maybe asking if I could get a few parts at what it costs the dealer to get them, but im not sure if its a good idea to ask that. Can anyone help me to choose what to ask for, and what to say? Id like to get some suspension gear, and this awesome set of rims they had there. Think that I could even get a discount? I would like to get all that I can, but Id like everything to be reuseable if I do an engine swap.

I doubt it. The only person you ever negotiate with is the car salesman. Parts counter prices are more than likely non-negotiable.

Your only hope I'd say is to ask the salesman immediately after your mom buys the car, and only if she doesn't haggle on the price of the car much.

There are ways to get the parts you want at a good discount, but that's not one of them. You're better off making friends with the parts manager.

The parts manager at my local Nissan dealer likes me enough that when I wrecked my 510 he gave me a free radiator...

Well, theres more than one dealership in my area, and I was thinking to have my mom tell them that she wants to get a few parts for another car thrown in with the purchase. Sorry I was pretty vague in my other post.

buy a lot of stuff from him first

Seriously, I don't think you'll get anywhere with that. Your mom is there to buy an SUV - not to get you hookups on parts for your car.
