hey guys im soo boosted about tonight i went to this car get "together " thing tonight. i was trying to promote the ka24et and ka24det setup opposed to no offense the sr20det motor.
well this guy steps up to me and says i have a "stock" keep that word in mind ,sr20det 500 horsepower , now keep in mind its stock.
what it all came down to is i was trying to sell my sohc 240sx that is soon to be turboed i said to him youll smoke a stock sr20det with a ka24et or ka24det and his friend steps up and says its bull****.
i was like how do you figure a stock sr20det motor has 205 hp 210 lbs tourque, he says my stock theres that word, he says my stock sr20det motor that has 500 hp will smoke a ka24 turboed motor.well i go over and look at his car its 200sx and thats when we got into another beef, he says he has a sr20de non turbo motor with added turbo its stock and runs about 500 horse i said you have a sr20 bluebird motor, i may be wrong but who knows.
the argument was that he had a "stock " 500 hp sr20det motor front wheel drive out of a 200sx, i dont think that there is any possible way that a sr20 motor that is stock nothing done to the inside bottom or top ends could break 500 hp thats what this guy claims his motor has. its bone stock but pushes 500 hp.
it pissed me off because it was making me look like i didnt know what i was talking about. this guy and had all his friend talking their **** because what he said, whatever came out of his mouth, they thought was true. please someone correct me if i was wrong, and if a sr20 front wheel drive can put out 500 hp with stock internal. and also what the sr20de? det bluebird, and the sr20det from the s13 is.

O.K so the guy you talked too is obviously a moron. Build your KA24et turbo and smoke his punk ***. Stock sr bottom ends that arent that of the det have serious problems for boosting he is an idiot.

what an idiot... those are the times you wish you had some forum members by your side lol... and when you wish you had that turbo on your car, so you could smoke his ***, and show him up, along with his friends... what did he have for wheels? there's no way you're getting 500hp to ground FWD wtih stock steelies :P

The sr20de came in early sentras too! They made like 100hp or somin. I don't think even a blacktop sr20det will run 500hp stock. The block can't handle it plus he'd need a fuel system, ecu upgrade/flash, clutch. Just a ton of stuff! He's a moron.
