man I really want to get a short shifter. but I heard people said everything is garbage except for B&M and C's. so should I really save up for those or can I get OBX or MookeeH MK1?

personally I've never heard of that happening, they'd have to be shifting pretty damn hard, you'll probly be better off waiting to see if someone else replies about that

well from talking with friends around here, they say your better off getting B&m's, only thing worth the money, as for your shifting breaking, you must be really agressive, no idea if it happens though, could be possible with the lesser known cheap products

the lower, thin part of the cheapo shifters (the part that goes into the transmission) have been known to break randomly. Also, the generic brands like OBX etc. feel good for like 1-2 months, then feel like crap (all loose, vague feeling, etc.) after. s13 is right - this is a case of "you get what you pay for", and you can't beat a B&M ver.2 or a C's.

funny you mention the shifter breaking. I've actually done it before. I was driving my friends civic (not by choice, the 240 was out of commission) and I was messin around with him in his other car, and the damn shifter broke. We launched, and when I shifted from first to second, the shifter snapped about halfway down the shaft. I was some really cheap shifter from ebay he paid like 20 bucks for. But after that, it was a really short shifter. LOL.
