it could just be in need of a change of gear oil.

This has been talked about TO DEATH, have you searched at all?

Can you describe the sounds in more detail? Possible audio clip of it?

I have some but haven't found much. my bearings are fine. but my dad thinks my gears were set up wrong. but I would think it would make the howeling the day I bought it not almost 2 months later. and the diff has been ran in there for about a year and was ran in another car. I believe the sound was coming from my carrier bearing race spinning because the carrier clamp
s that hold the bearing/carrier in were very loose.

replace your carrier bearings. they are prob shot. just make sure its shimmed correctly when you reassemble it.

my dad put my diff away so everything was messed up so I shimmed it to how I thought it went and checked the bite and it still looks good. and right
