you have to pull up the center plastic sh*t, where your console (what ever that thing in the middle is called, where yopu rest your arm and the lid pops up), underneath, there's a big *** plug and a bronze colored metal box, just pull the plug out and put the dash thing back togethor

EDIT: oops, you ment the sound thing... i have no idea. That^ just stops them from moving around w. that auto crap

Just went out to my car and checked, it only dings maybe 3 or 4 times and stops for me if the belt is unhooked. Just keep the belt on its not that bad.

I'm not saying you shuldnt wear your seatbelt, it just stops that little thing from sliding up and down, so you can just plug it when you get inside... i dunno if unplugging that thing cuts the sound too though

Look on your seat belt and there should be a wire hooked to it....well cut it and solder the wires together so it always is connected...

Look here, I DO wear my seatbelt. ****ing Nissan just can't make a sensor that works.

In fact, on this car, the dinging ONLY happens when you ARE wearing the seatbelt.

I would've assumed that someone here had encountered the same problem, and would be kind enough to tell me where that "idiot bell" is.

Are there any 240sx forums that don't have a big picture of a FAST AND FURIOUS spoiler on the front page & are populated by people with brains?

I've never seen a toyota forum this dumb.

we're not idiots ... we just want you to be safe.
You should check an online FSM or something ... i'm not completely sure on the location of the sensor or wires.

Wow.. that was kind of rude. All you asked was "how do you kill the stupid ding".. I told you to wear your seat belt. You never stated in the first post that with the seatbelt on, you get the dinging noise still.

By the way, where do you see a 240 with a F&F spoiler? No need to insult other peoples rides because you asked how to turn off the dinger without explaining yourself more clearly.

That's not our fault.
