MEEEEHHH to many threads.....Have to simplify, make life easier.

HICAS 240sx are fine with a few FREE changes/modifications to the chassis, removal of HICAS, and a couple hundred in some cheap parts. I look at it like this the VLSD comes with the DAMN S13!!!!! S13's are getting harder to come by, so either you want the thing or you don't....

Man I love this faction of BFE Georgia that I live in, because there are still plenty of 240's to go around. I can't stand the GOT DAMN things, but if I wanted one I'd have my pick of the litter.

I can't stand how expensive they are getting and how expensive they have been. I can see if the 240sx was the UBER sports car, but it really isn't. I guess it's all in the connotation of its usage and where people are associating it's niche in society. Because if you ask me, the 1990 Supra should be worth more than a 1990 240sx and you'd still be able to find a Supra, in better condition than a 240 of the same year. Unless you start hitting the fat bodies, then those are like a million-billion.

I Actually don't mind. I Bought my car for under $2700. I added rims, brakes, AGX's/TEINS, $1000 in bolt on's.
Now most cars depreciate with value. I probably still would of only gotten the $2700 maybe the $3000 that I paid for it 3years ago. But because drifting has become popular with the youngsters I can easily sell it for $4500. HAHAHAHAHA

The problem with the Supra's, that is still the problem with the Supra's is the Chassis weight. The only reason why s13's and s14's are so popular is for there chassis design which if you think about it, these chassis's surpass and out maneuver the 300z (Z31,Z32 and Z33 chassis) if it has enough HP under boost. As I recall the Silvia was more popular in Japan than the Fairlady Z.
Back on topic a 1990 Supra before toyota started the new design with the 2Jz in the 90's wasn't very popular the USDM's mostly received a god awful V6, not the rev happy JDM 2.5litre 1jzGTE.
S13's and S14's have become popular do to there chassis weight and it is an easy chassis to swap VQ engines as well as LS7's.... It has become more of the chassis of choice with the abundance of after market support. It would be easier for me to find suspension parts for a 240 then it would be for the Supra.

This is true, but that's because with motorsports and tuning there' a catch 22 . . .a paradox of sorts. For there to be an aftermarket for something there has to be an interest in the car . . . however, in most cases for there to be an interest in something, there has to be an aftermarket . . .LOL! Therein you see the catch, it's like you need one thing to have the other, but without the other you can't have the one thing. I don't know, I know it's just bias talking when I talk about the S13 . . .all in all it's a great car, I'll admit that, it has great road manners and it has excellent performance. I wouldn't class it above it's European counter parts, but I would definitely give it the one-up in a competition amongst a lot of it's Japanese and American rivals.

Now, if you'll excuse me . . .ROFLOL, I just rode 10 miles on my bike for the first time in YEARS . . . I'm very very very very very very very very very very very very very

*deep breath*

very very very very very very very very tired.

I'm going to change into some dry (non sweaty) clothes and take a nap.

Your right the Supra came with the INLINE 7M-GE (naturally aspirated) and the 7M-GTE (turbo).
I don't know why I was thinking it was a V6. Probably because I'm brain dead and ran out of my heart meds, my mind is playing tricks on me....

i agree if you plan on drifting it can be a pain but i love my hicas system. and watching the little honda boys jaws drop when i whip around a corner and they see the wheels turn in the back is awsome it all depends on what you want to do with the car. the light on the dash is a trouble " idiot" light. mostly will only come on when you first turn on the car or just leave the key in the on position. it only goes up to a 14 degree turn if i remember correctly but id have to look again. and its only supposed to kick in after you hit 20 mph but sometime mine kicks in before that so im not so sure on that info

if you plan to autocross, or road race its good. for drag or drifting either disable it or only get the lsd and leave the hicas out.

yes in the usa it is rare. laughed my *** off when the nissan guy told me i didnt have a hicas and i showed it to him

hope this helps.
