Hey, I was looking at the "VIN Plates" in the door, and in the engine bay, for some other information on the car. (weight, and stuff)
I was just wondering what the 1/89 number on the one in the door, means.
Is that Jan/ 89 or something else...?

You DO know the weight of the car IS NOT printed on the door plate right?

That's the maximum weight recommended by the manufacturer with loaded trunk, fluids and passenger compartment.
