drift park

lmao, but what he's saying is no clue. Which is about right because you also would have to deal with any zoning issues. Like I know in PA there is a tax for using land that could be used as farm esate. So like you may own the two acres, but as stupid as this sounds you may have to pay some sort of annual dues just to have it. Let alone to set it all up. To be honest I would probably just pave the whole thing and if your really on a big budget set up some lights around the border for night driving. That way you can set up whatever you want with cones or whatever and you can change the course to whatever you see fit. Plus it's probably a lot cheaper that way.

I don't know how it is in your state, but in CA there's other things to consider as well:
- insurance coverage
- designated safety team
- public facilities (bathrooms)
- noise restrictions
If you search for how they run Drft Day, you can get an idea of what it's like to hold a single event, let alone a daily track (which is basically what you have, even if it's a bunch of cones).
I've kicked around the idea of opening something similar to "Drift World" but the costs are pretty steep - land or no land

i work for a road construction company and if i knew the exact size of the land i could try to find out how much it would run for the whole paving deal...if you could get me some kind of drawing and width measurments of the surfaces meaning how wide you would want the track and about how long of a distance there would be we might be able to get you a price... and if ya charge 10.00 bucks a car and 5 bucks for the lookie loos just like all the drag strips here... there ya go... plus the waiver for stoopid accidents and such... you are all set... lol... now ya just gotta get the money to do it right???

wow, 2 freakin acres. that would cost your soul here in cali. drift park sounds like a cool idea tho. for the waiver you could snag some drag strip's waiver and rules of operation and then modify them to your needs (saves you writing time). good luck.

The City shut down the Vernon AutoX because of noise complaints. Who knows maybe 1 day citys will build drift parks, after all they build skate parks.

If you are looking to make money on it then you are looking in the wrong place for development issues. Contact your local better business authority for help.
You are looking at a huge deal of trouble if you want to make money. Insurance like what was mentioned is very expensive to get. You also woul have to get emts on site. Security on site.
In NJ the highway patrol is involved with our events. You would have to see what your local law enforcement would want.
I would aim on 240fortisx's parking lot deal and keep it closed to friends.
Damn it is hard enough for us to secure venues. Imagine building one. Lol.
Etown has a road course that has been laying dorment for 2 years now. I got to drift on it in 2003 and I loved it.
Cones don't compare to curves.

with StanBo... if you're willing to do everything it takes to get a "driftland/driftpark/drift-whatever" setup, you better be doing it more for the love of drifting and keeping it safe, than to try to make money.
That's why I'd do it, if I had just the funding to get it setup.
