Driver height

Driver height

I was just curious, I'm likely gonna end up buying an s13 or (hopefully) an s14, and I was wondering how comfortable would I be in the drivers seat? I stand at a slender 6 foot 3. It would really suck *** if I would be too tall to drive comfortably.

You should be good to go, I'm only 6foot and still have like 3 or more clicks left that I can push my seat back on, and if you don't like the stock seating, get a racing seat and bracket set and put the seat where you want it.

If your worried about head room find a car with out a sunroof. That should add like an inch. BTW S14's have more room than S13's for both leg room and head room.

I am 6'4", and have an s13 coupe with sunroof and have no problem with headroom clearance. The steering wheel tilts up and the seat back reclines just enough to make it comfortable for those of us vertically enhanced individuals.

um, why would a car with a sunroof take away headroom? if anything, my sunroof adds a little.
I'm 6'1" and i like to side very straight up when i drive. I have my seat one click on the recline lever from all the way up and i barely brush the roof. legroom is not a problem at all.

I have an s14, and I am 6'1" and the way I sit my head is about an inch from the roof if that, sometimes I can feel my hair brush up against it. I also have a sunroof though.

Trust me the sunroof definately takes away head room. When I sat straight up in my old S13 I could tap my head on the trim that goes around the sunroof, but in my new S13 with no sunroof there is definately way more head room. Atleast an inch or two extra room. If you don't beleive me come check it out, they're both sitting in my garage.

why dont' you sit in both the s13 and the s14 for yourself and see if there is enough room...

WTF?

You guys must have no legs.

I drove my friends s14 96 240sx

and even though the steering wheel tilts up i still didn't have enough leg room to heel-toe. i already know when i get my s13 i will need to reposition the sits just for that fact. i can't touge race without being able to heel-toe.

Yeah i am 6-5. and lots of leg. but yeah head clearance isn't that bothersome.

i don't care about drifting yet, i want to learn to grip in an fr, since i am use to an ff layout. and i should be able to practice rev matching for a lil bit until i adjust the seats. i fit fine for regular driving just not enough leg room for heel-toe.

So I got in my 240 for the 1st time and yeah...........
seat was all the way back and still can barely heel-toe but is ALOT better than in the s14's.
