i have a 1990 fastback with power windows and power locks

i bought the car with driver side power window not working but passenger side window working

the car got into an accident on the driver side before, so i thought that was the problem, so i swapped out the driver side door to see whats up

my old door would just click when i press the button, but no movement, the relay should still be good if it clicks right? the passenger side window rolls down if i press it from the driver side

the new door i got didn't have the power iwndow relay so i used my old one, plugged it all up, and tried it, no go, relay clicks, no movement, passenger side window works

i'm assuming this problem shouldn't be because of wiring, since the passenger side window works from the driver side switch, maybe it's the relay? i'll try to swap out another one, but as of now, i just want your opinions on what it could be

if the fuse was blown, wont both power windows stop working? not just one, how much do these relays usually cost at the dealership?

 

ignore the caption, haha. i had the same problem, and basically what i did was take that piece i am pointing to out of its plastic case and smelling it to see if there is a short anywhere on the motherboard. get someone who has some soldering experience to take a look at it and see if they can re solder it for you. thats how i got mine fixed.
