Just a quick kill story. A friend of mine has been wanting to race me ever since i got my S14, because my last car was a MK3 supra turbo. Of course he could never beat me in his GS-T so he was extremely happy when he heard Iwas getting my Nissan. So we went to the track here in Virginia last friday so we could do it right. But after sitting in the staging lanes for an hour and a half they closed the track before we got a chance to run. So instead of going home a dropping the whole thing, he insists on saying I'm lucky the track was closed because he was going to "hand it to me." So I suggest that we still race on the 1/2 mile stretch of road that leads to the track. He agrees so we line up. Now I've only had the se since thursday so I havent really had a chance to launch it correctly, so i launch at 4500 like i did in my Supra and by the time i get traction the GS-T has at least 2 cars on me. So i back of and tell we should go again. We line up again and this time i launch at 2500 and by the time we get to 4th i still had half a car on him so he backed off. Granted was was slowly coming up but iwas ahead th whole race. He gave the 240 some credit and we headed back to Richmond. Does anybody else find the fact that we have to short shift to keep power up as unexciting as i do? Does anybody have 225/50/16 on the rear? And do you notice better traction? I still love my S14 over my Supra. The Supra is fast and all but handles like a 3-legged buffalo. I love the overall balance of the S14. Anyways I'm happy to be apart of the Nissan Family now.
