EGR block-off plate.(new problems)

Does anyone have a printable (correctly-sized) template for an EGR block off plate (KA-DE)? I knew i've seen one around here, but i can't find it anymore. I bought an E-Bay plate for dd, but my new project car needs one and i'm broke.... , thanks in advance.

i don't but what i did was take the egr valve off and trace it onto a 1/8" thick piece of sheet metal and cut it with a grinder. it took about 15 min to make, but you'll need shorter bolts if you use a 1/8" plate.

get some textured paper and a crayon, peel the paper off the crayon and rub over the textured paper when it's laying over the egr portion of the manifold. it doesn't have to be exact

OR... you can just unthread the pipe, throw in a nickel and reinstall the pipe. doesnt clean things up at all, but it blocks off the EGR still

i used high temp silicone. the egr valve is on the intake manifold so it really doesn't get that hot.

-is it necessarily bad to make a block-off plate out of aluminum? Its easier to cut/drill and i have a sheet of 1/4 aluminum plate.

no no i have an actually block of plate from ebay that cost about 5 bucks man at the time

i just made a gasket to get a even tighter seal... years before that... what i did was take the pipe off the egr, installed a plug and then i screwed the pipe back in and crimped it. sealed very tightly... but like durdan said it still wasn't clean behind there.

-i bought a plug that i though was the right size from home depot. Didn't fit, so i cut the collared tube that goes into the header about an inch long, JB welded a dime to the flare. Also made a block off plate out of a piece of aluminum, sealed with rtv.
-now, my car runs fine, but after driving for about five minutes, it drops idle from 800 to about 250-300 until it konks out. I think it may be the vacuum lines? I took out the egr tube, EGR valve and a little ufo -shaped thing that was attached to the EGR valve by a tube.. Was i supposed to remove this, and am i supposed to plug the vacuum lines or not.

dimes are:

A) too small
B) not heat resistant

nickels are:
A) just the right size
B) extremely heat resistant.
C) what i tell everyone to do, so i must be right

^^^alright, i think i might do the nickel swap if i can save up enough money.
-Anyway, i found out why my car would stall out. Apparently when i was turning wrenches on the EGR, i smacked/cracked the black tube that runs with the hard lines and goes from the bottom manifold to the brake booster(?). I couldn't figure it out because i would start my car and run around and couldn't see what it was before it stalled.

are you guys talking about that brown pipe that goes fron the intake mani to the exhaust mani, i am having problems with my new header and that pipe lining up, can I just take it off and block it with the nickel without hurting anything?

yes, don't forget to cap off the (i believe 2) vacuum lines for the egr valve and egr solenoid.
