Electric Rad Fans
Electric Rad Fans
Just got a Koyo for my s13... looking into slim electric fans because i'm afraid there will be clearance issues with the 55mm radiator... and its probably a good idea to upgrade since it's turbo. Yea i searched... but taurus fans didnt appeal to me.
What fans are you guys running. I'm looking at the FAL and flex-a-lite lines... is having a temp sensor and A/C relay necessary? Right now my fans run when the ignition is on - grounded the relay, i will install a switch for that in the future...
Looking at these now:

any help would be great

I just bought that fan, the 210 version.
Haven't installed it yet, but it seems easy enough.
I also bought an Altima fan, but decided that I wanted something new. Altima fans are what most people are using, I'm selling mine for $90 shipped.

I'm running altima fans, I like them. Got 'em off ebay for about $90 new. And it's proven performance, let's not forget; http://home.satx.rr.com/nissanweb/RadTest/RadTest.htm
Although for an S13 radiator I'd atleast look into P11 G20 fans too.

I don't have any pics of it, but if you ask nicely and tell me what you what to see exactly I can get some. They're aren't thin, but they aren't big either maybe 3"(???) thick. And any year '93 up to the body redesign works. They will need to be mounted up custom though, that's why I'd recommend G20 fans, from what I hear they bolt right up to and S13 radiator. I went with the Altima's 'cause I have an S14 (Yashio) radiator. Either should work fine though.
once you remove your clutch fan there will be no clearance issues... there is plenty of room in there after the fan is gon to run some pretty thick fans... my setup was the altima fan and no clutch fan... cooled fine and worked good... i took pics and posted then a while back i will see if i still have a pic of the single fan install... i left the stock fan shroud because i dont have an intke on my car...
electrical question: if i put a switch in so the fans didnt run when the ingnition was on, could i go --- blue (power) -- switch inside -- blue (power) to raditor?
My cruise control doesnt work cause of the sr, i was thinking of trying to wire it to the old CC buttons, that way the old CC light will be on when the fans are on. I thought it was a decent idea

Get a thermal switch to activate the fan once the radiator reaches a certain temprature.
Here is the install of the stanza electric fans for the s12/13/14.
It leaves the electrical diagram, but you don't have to wire it the way he did it is kind of archaic, but it is easy to understand.
