Fiberglass Properties
I am unfamiliar with fiberglass and just bought a new front bumper (finally yay!) and was unsure about drilling, sanding, molding etc and weather i need to be careful when drilling or sanding or what? i'm just a fiberglass virgin
fiberglass can crack if its not handled properly, but as for drilling it shouldnt crack, just start a good small pilot hole then you should be fine if your worried. you can sand it also. as for molding it you would need to use a bondo or lay up more fiber glass.
dont know if you are interested, but if you want to strengthen the bumper too while your playing with it, read my post right here... http://240sxforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47553
That should help you out some. Later

if you are drilling the fiberglass, back it with oversized washers like they do on front quarterpanels. if there is ANY play in the fitment of the fiber piece, it could slowly open your nicely drilled hole into a frayed laceration.
