Finished the timing job....sorta

Well I finished the timing chain job on my car and when I crank it it turns over and starts but it has a really rough idle. Now, the car has been sitting for like 3-4 weeks and I am guessing that is why it has a rough idle. Does anyone know of something else it would be?

sounds like the timing is off a little bit... set the motor back at top dead center and pull the distributor and reinstall it... you might be one tooth off either way... check that first and see what happens...
