Free Recaro Seat!!

-wow. I got this seat yesterday when my friends dad Bob asked us if we wanted to help clean out his storage unit. I said hell yea because usually we always leave with some free goodies off of Porsche race cars. We were going thru the unit and i saw it and the conversation went like this:

me-what do you want for that seat
bob-o that? Nothing, it's yours, get it out of my sight.

-I was wondering if i could bolt the stock S13 rails onto the seat, because making the whole rails for this seat would be hella ghey.

-The seat isn't faded at all, it's just wet in the pic from me washing it.(it had an obsurd amount of owl poop on it.)

-update. I got my stock seat out and took the rails off. the rails bolt onto the sides of the seats and not the bottom, so once i find some angle iron it will be in and more pics.

-well i JUST got done mounting my new seat in tha car. I made brackets out of angle iron to connect the stock rails to the seat. It worked out great. It took about and hour and a half to work out some numbers and make the cuts, and to measure, mark, and drill. The only problem is the bolt holes in the floor took some convincing to line up with the holes in the rails, because the right side bolster is pushing into my center console. Other that it works great and since i used the stock rails, it can beslid back and forth as usual.

Looks like its an oldschool mid 70s porsche 911 recaro. You may be able to get good money out of it in a porsche forum

^^^yea. I might check that out if i cant get the rails to work. I'm going to have to ditch the stock rails because they sit the seat too high. I'm 6'2" and my head hits the sunroof glass when i go over speed bumps...
