Fuel economy?

Well, I'm about to jump into the 240 world and I was just curious as to what everyone got as far as fuel economy. So how about posting up what engine/trans you have, (major) mods to the engine, and your MPG. I'd really appreciated, as I still don't have a 240 yet and it would help me in choosing one thanks

I have a stock 95 240SX with a 5-speed manual. It will easily do 40MPG on the highway.

I need to do a complete fuel system maintenance job, and get lighter rims. 350Z 18s FTL.

I get about 250 miles on a tank, by far, the worst mileage out of any 240 I ever owned, and I had one with a busted motor mount back in the day too. This summer I'm gonna be under the car many many weekends long. On top of which, I'll be looking for lighter 18s. I should at least go back up to about 350 miles / tank of gas minimum after the maintenance job and new rims.

burns air/fuel mixture more completely, o2 sensor recognizes that, adjusts fuel.

i get 24 city, 29 hiway. 91 octane. electric fans, k&n drop in. everything else pretty much stock. heavy og 5 spoke 15s

i need new spark plug wires, dist cap and rotor, so numbers should pick up after that.

Yeha, I'm trying to sell my Jeep right now to get something more economical and I really don't want to be stuck in a Civic. Right now I'm looking for an S13 with an SR20DET in it; anybody have any numbers that I could expect out of that setup?

SR20 is definitly lighter than the KA, but due to different fuel setup and engine maping, you get about the same mileage, maybe a little better. But remember your boosting too.

Fuel economy is ultimately based on the driver. Good driving habits = good mileage per gallon.

KA24de,FS5W71C tranny, electric fan, high flow CAT, Aluminum fly wheel, 2.5"exhaust MAGNAFLOW,Intake system, iridium plugs, 240/248 cams, and an SAFC.
When I advance timing I get the crappiest gas mileage known to man at about 19MPG(thats a rough estimate its probably more like 21~22MPG freeway), that's only because I have to richen the tune with the SAFC so I don't get ignition.
When I set timing to stock and don't run richness on the SAFC I can get about 32MPG. I've been looking into increasing the gas mileage by switching out to a s15 HLSD which I believe has a 3.6gear ratio, stock 240sx ratio 4.1.
Just so everyone knows SR20dets make about 22MPG freeway, and they do not use EGR valves. Plus the A/F ratios range from 11.7:1~12.6:1. Ka24de's A/F ratio's being naturally aspirated run between 12.7:1~13.6:1. KA24de uses alot less fuel than a SR20det and make about 27MPG with no modifications.

What about the R34 GTR diffs? We had one of those in the Gold Drift car. Whats the ratio on that one? Or better asked, which of all diffs that is a direct bolt on, the best for any S chassis?
