lol i think everybodies stock 240 with exhaust kinda does that also. haha. but i was reading yutas old ride thread, man that got me motivated to get alot done this summer. i wanna do a basic rebuild, so ill be able to spend money on suspension and not worry about my motor taking a dump. lol cuz its about to. got pretty lucky and the roomates bought coils for me on there credit card and ill be paying them like $200 a month, so until those are paid off, ill just be doing alot of little accesories, and a rebuild over the summer, hopfully. lol but yea these are other plans i have also. more recent ones, n/a build is too expensive for now.

ya i agree but neways..

a rebuild is relatively cheap. when i did mine i did bearings, rings, clutch, resurfaced flywheel, 1 rod, all new gaskets, and reman'd crank, and not to mention all the odds and ends i had to get. landed me around 900. i think the crank was about 200 and the rod was like 110 or somethin from nissan. so if you dont have to replace any of those things its relatively cheap and makes your motor very happy

1993coupe: dang bro don't get all mad, i was just giving you ****. I know torque+imports=not possible, i'm just saying why give up 25% of displacement for a little higher revs? its up to you though dude, i try not to hate on any original ideas, even if i do give them some crap every now and then.

Ah, lets calm down guys. Lets get it back on topic.

For the record, Honda engines can make such good HP with low torque, because of their ability to maintain constant torque at higher RPM's. Having a higher compression motor capable of higher revs can produce GREAT numbers and reliability with the right components and most importantly, TUNING!

so i have a little bit of brainstorming going on, and here's how it goes.

this summer, im working a bunch, making decent money i guess, so im thinking about doing things in this order,

5 speed swap + fixing problems with my car
this includes figuring out tail lights/power windows, getting those up to speed, and getting a freakin radio bezel. i have the money for this as is.

this summer, im going to first save up and add that to the money from my guitar when i sell it, and use that to buy coilovers. then mo money invested into susp arms and whatnot. after i do that, or during this time, i plan on picking up a KA with a few less miles than my own (mine has 222k.) and going with a decent N/A build. this is going to include higher compression pistons, higher lift cams, *(making sure the valves clear,) fuel control, upgraded valve train equips, getting some head work done, making it more eficient, and on the bottom half, with the higher comp pistons, some new rods, and crank, possibly going with the new brian crower stroker kit... not sure on that one tho. then when i swap, i plan on cleaning out my engine bay as much as possible, trying to minimize clutter, and some exterior mods such as new injectors, a bigger or bored throttle body, slightly larger injectors, *sr 370s, probably a custom short ram intake, a 4-2-1 header with a test pipe, to 3 inch exhaust, and a decent sized glass pack exhaust.

im pretty new to this whole idea, so some input would be apreciated.

If you're going to get higher compression pistons and headwork and rods and crank then screw getting a fresher KA, it will be a waste of money. Youre just gonna be rebuilding it anyways.

lol "glass pack" okay you greaser.

i know about the crank, but the brian crower sroker kit (which isnt released yet) is supposed to come with a crank, any comp pistons you want, and can increase to up to 2.6 L. i might sacrifise a few rpms, but i think i could make up for that in torque. not sure tho, because it hasnt been released, and i owuld like to see numbers first.
