Good Price?

Hi I am new to this forum and also to pricing of 240sx's. I have been recently looking for a decent 240 and I think I found one, but Im not sure if I would be paying to much for it, so I thought I would come here for advice. I've been looking at 2, and here they are.

1995 240sx SE Coupe, 140kmiles, wants $6500.

1995 240sx Silva 70kmiles, wants $8800, but I offered 8k.(These are the same cars I believe right?)

Im not sure... is 2k a good exchange for double the miles basically? How long do the engines last usually? Also I believe I may go with the 140kmiles one because its in my town and the other is about 100miles away which is a bit for to just go look at it. Im not sure, but would I be getting my money for it? From the pictures I have seen both look exceptional, and the 70kmile one has leather, I have yet to get interior pictures of the 140kmiles.

Please Help,
Thanks,
Qckrun

I'd say 6500$ is pretty step for the 95.. especially with the miles... they usually go for $3500-$5000 with that milage and year... it's a 10 year old car..

yeah, that SE is definitely NOT worth it IMO

that silvia .. does it have the silvia fron end? the low miles, silvia conversion, and IF body/interior is good, i would say that might be a good price. i thin kthe silvia conversion runs about 1500-2000, maybe more? other than that, it might not be worth it. there's always ebay

or just be patient for something that comes up. check the classifieds here as well

I got my 95 se for 2800, broughtguy down fro 3300, it has 114k miles and a dent in the rear fender which i fixed, both those prices are steep, might be close if it were a 97 or 98, but lrb is right, its a 10 year old car.

Ya I think Im just going to end up waiting... Would you guys know how the Nissian Engines are? Are they comparable to Honda Engines in the fact that they last forever or no? I'm going to continue to look... I really want one but I need to find one a bit cheaper.

my engine has 138k on it, i probably put about 10k on my self and had no problems. i think it also depends on how you drive it and if you take care of it. japanese motors seem to last a while...

get the silvia one only if it has the sr20det (ask the owner what engine it has)

if you buy a stock one now, you will end up wanting the power of the SR20 later, and trust me, you will end up paying more.

did you test drive both cars? try it. the silvia one should be much faster than the other one. and the SE one is waaay over priced.

Nissans engines are good until you stop taking care of it.
i had my 91 240 with 227000 miles on it, and it kicked major ***.
