Got a new Project
Well I blew my last LS1 up after some passes at the track. So I figured what the hell Ill go ahead and do what I originally wanted to do.
SO I bought a used 408 stroker motor
Got a great deal because it had a knocking noise thought to be bearings.
Turns out it was a piece of a piston missing (LOL) but luckily I dont know how but the motor is fine just needs new piston and I plan to replace the bearings since its there and easy to fix.
So we tore the motor down and Im going to run through the motor tomorrow and clean it and hone it. Bearings and piston should be here next week and the 240SS will be up and running again sporting its 408 decal
Lets just say 500 whp will be achievable on motor alone. And the bottom end will hold a 300 shot easy
Also I know there are a few JDM fan boys on here but keep it to yourself cause Ive probably swapped, helped swap or tuned more JDM motors than youve seen in person. Not trying to brag just dont want to listen to it. Thanks

Found out some sorta bad news though. My 5.3 L heads wont work with this setup not because they wont fit but because the compression on the motor would be approx. 13.5:1 which wont run on pump gas. So Im getting some 6.0 heads and going to hand port them some.







And yes I have the old one and several people looking at buying it. Now that I cant use the heads I am going to sell them with the block. Trying to get 1900 for it. The crank will be turned and rods will be included. Bearings will be needed and rings.
