I got pulled over for the first time tonight. It sucked. I was out with two of my good high school buddies whom i havent seen in a long time. We were on a 45 mph road. It then changed to 35 and then 25 for about 1/4 mile before making its way up again, 35, 45, etc. So in a span of 1000 feet, the speed limit dropped 20 mph and only lasts for a short section. The only signs were the speed limit signs, no "Reduced Speed Ahead" or whatever. So I got pulled over for doing 41 in a 25. Saw the cop too late, passed him, saw the wheels start rolling and shat in my pants.

I was hoping for a little mercy, since it was my first offense, but being that I'm male, 20 years of age, drive a nice sporty car, and had 2 other male passengers, my chance at getting off the hook was slim. Damn!

What a retarded section of road!!

be EXTREMELY apologetic to the judge! explain the situation but don't make excuses. be polite. i've had too much experience with this

 

I hope it wasn't near a school. I know speed limits get dropped around them.

I don't know if the Judge will be to happy with that if that is the situation.

 

If you go to court and its your first conviction they usually plea bargin it down to like tail gating or something. After the court, go take a defensive driving course and it'll knock the points off.

 

No, it wasnt a school zone. I think it was just a short section of residentials.

 

yeah.. just be apologetic... it was in the night right ? ... so u can mention something like the trees were blocking the already dark sign... etc... but dont go overboard...sometimes having an excuse can help
