got towed
saw steam from the front right hood area. thought i was maybe a manhole since my temp guage was slightly above normal. i pull over and my engine compartment is splattered with green ooze. got towed home and found it was only a crack in the upper hose so i'm replacing the upper and lower hoses. so glad it's so minimal and loving AAA plus for the free towing.

Good to hear there was no damage to the engine.
I would have loved it if it was just the hose the broke on my car. It was the plastic output the hose connects to that broke. Oh well.
AAA does rock. They are slow but they are always there.

actually i ended getting them from advanced auto, my mistake. there are no 24 hour autozones here and didnt even know they existed. kind of strange, almost like the drive thru liquor stores, both too convienent for your own good. plus we'd all be even more broke if there was a 24 hour parts auto down the street.
