Guess What!!!
i think turboing a KA would also cost more. To many times I have heard of KA busting under pressure so you would have to re do your internals and thats gonna cost almost as much as the new engine itself, not to mention the turbo kit.
I think an SR would come out cheaper.

hey didn't mean to start a flame war or anything. I think both are great motors but neither is as good or capable of what an inline 6 is. And with the money you would spend on one of those motors you could have an RB. You could keep going on with that. But IMO stock for stock the sr20 is a better motor then the KA but if you build a KA and build a SR I think the KA is a better motor. I am not the type of person who does a swap and then doesn't do anything else. And I am not gonna be satisfied with a 14 to high 13 second car. I want mid to low 12's and I will be happy. I am always looking to go a little bit faster. Not to be the fastest necessarily but fast enough to beat up on most cars and almsot all stock cars with the exception of some obvious ones.

There is a replacement for displacement. It's called design. The SR was built from nissan to be a performance engine where as the ka was not. The ka can make damn good numbers, close to the sr, but I've never seen a highly tuned ka more powerful than the highly tuned sr's. All the factors like head design, flow caracteristics, bore, stroke, connecting rod ratio.... are all different between the engines. The SR's better design gives it higher numbers, and the ka can only somewhat keep up because of displacement.
