Hard Core Acid

I need some hard core acid. I got the paint and everything for my wheels, but they are so full of corrosion and brake dust that I am sanding it off. However, the first wheel took over an hour and isnt even that clean, especially in the nooks and crannies. So I am going to use some kind of solvent. Problem is, all the cleaning solvents are mild so they can be used on finished wheels. I am looking for an acid that will indiscriminately destroy anything on the wheel. Anybody have any experience with something like that that they could suggest for me?

use some aircraft stripper not the spray but the brush on. Napa auto parts carries it and it is very caustic, so don't get that crap on your hands and work in a well ventilated area

I bought some of that aircraft stripper ****. I put it on and I'll take it off tomorrow. Hopefully it works, the warnings on the back were pretty hard core.

i would read the directions, you dont want to leave it on too long or it gets crusty and hard to take off. the kind i used i applied and came back in 30 mins and pressure washed off.

Crap. Its still on. At least I only did a small section for now. If it does harden I can just put more on top of it.

just make sure that stuff stays off of your tires. so of those chemicals will melt your tires. also make sure to wear eye protection and do it in a ventilated area.

I wore thick rubber gloves and did it out in the driveway, but I do like Carol.

I was gonna wear glasses but couldnt find them, and when I poured it out it was very thick, so I decided to go without.
I tried acetone before I bought this stripper and accidentally spilled on the tire. It dried up before I could hose it off (like acetone does) but now my tire is stained with it. Hopefully it won't hurt it. I tried to rinse and scrub it but its still stained.
