Any experience on megasquirt? thank you!!!

I am new to this but I am so excited that I can get a stand alone for just 200. And applying almost everything I have learned in school so far. So are there anything special that I should know before I start? Has any body done it on a KA24E? thank

It may be a little tricky, if I remember correctly, megasquirt was originally made for vehicles that did not come with EFI and putting it on a vehicle that already comes with EFI your gonna have to figure out how to pretty much rewire everything and figure out how to make it work on the EFI engine.

hmmm... i c. because my friend and I just discover the megasquirt and this is like a new Continent to us. (by the way he has an RX7 turbo II). he said it is common in the RX7 community because it has a built in MAP sensor (so that you can say good bye to the MAF) and it seems to have alot of advantage (no more piggy back and a lot of emmision stuff can be taken out if you set the mixture right.)

Since RX7 is also and EFI engine with OBD. I thought it would be the similar on 240sx.

and for the rewiring. I guess we can just go get the male adapter from an ECU from the junk yard and wire all the correspond wire. so it shouldn't be too hard

Oh its entirely possible, and I'm sure if you take the time to figure everything out you'll be fine. Good luck with it.

There is no difference for the Mega squirt to be used for the KA24E or the DE.
Gabe Z used the Mega squirt on his SOHC you might want to ask him what the needed parts would be. I believe the only thing that needs machining is a crank pulley for the crank angle sensor.
You can contact Gabe at NICO he is a moderator named DeviousKA
