hatch holes

hatch holes

the 240 i'm getting has a removed rear spoiler. so my question to u is. how did u fix it. not as in tape over the holes to prevent further rusting i mean actual fixing and paint. any details diy techniques would be appreciated.

- Find one in the junkyard/eBay/etc. with no holes.
- Weld the holes, grind off beads, bondo, paint.

grind down the rust and paint, get the holes welded shut... bondo ONLY to make the surface smooth

good news on that. it is a rust free hatch. so the holes are small. so how do u weld them shut? my friends dad is a welder. so lemme know what the best way is.

I'd take it to a shop so you have their word/warranty.

hmm it's gonna cost me though oh well. i'll be bondoing and painting the dents anyway. so i'll have to take it into a shop eventually.

i would get a real CF hatch if I were to do that.. all that piece does it go over the existing hatch, acually adding weight.

I thought about that... but i couldnt find any that didnt have to be 'overnighter from japon'
