Headlights wont go down? Please help

A little while ago, my headlights worked fine. Than one day they wouldnt go down, so I turned them on and off again and they went down. Different day, again headligths stayed up, flicked on and off, they went down. Now they just will not go down. What the hell. And I drive an 89. Please help, it sucks with them up all the time. Thanks

Well I just had it in the shop because I had to get the clutch fixed and I asked them to look at the lights. They tried a relay (I dont know which one) and they said that it didnt work. I will check out that swith thing and see if that works, but I have never used it, so I dont think thats it. You can screw them down, and when you turn them on they go up, but than dont go back down.

diconnect the light motor and run the headlights manually

u can reach right inside the under the lights through the bumper and disconnect the power connector, and make some sleepy eyes lol

89-90 240s have bad wireing problems as they corode internally. I have simelar problems as sometimes they dont go down, have to flick on the brights, or hit the button a few times. Sometimes my fuel pump works, sometimes my break lights work. This and that.

They just used bad material when making the 89-90's. As I have come to realize since I have a 90. Just run some new wires and such and it should be ok.

umm, i donno, but same sh*t happened to me, still is, i checked the relay wire, they all seem fine, but im guessing it's the fuse, i check them but they look fine, ill just go buy new one and replace them, because with my signal lights they were blinking like mad dogs, so i checked the fuse they look fine too, but i just put in a new one and it work great, btw how da hell do u tell if a fuse is bad? they all look fine to me.,..

but yea, for a 10+ year old car, things fall apart that's just the way things goes.. my climate control lights went out, think it;'s the fuse too, and alot os little misc sh*t happen to... but the fuse would be a good place to check first, o dman it y am i ranting again, hahah ok, enough...

my climate control lights went out too, but sometimes the flicker on, they havent latley though. And with the fuses being bad, normally the little bar that conects the 2 exposed parts of metal will not be connected(inside the clear part of the fuse), could also have black dust inside of them.
