Help!!!

i was wondering if you can run a pipe straight from the turbo to the intake? meaning like no intercooler. is it possible? and if so is it safe?

I cannot conceive how that would work or even be possible.

However, if it is possible, your motor won't last more than say...I dunno, five minutes probably.

yes you can ,but its not safe. i dont know the details but ive read in Maximum Boost by Corky Bell "That its incorrect to think any intercooler is better than no intercooler."SR's come with intercoolers for a reason though!

I asked that question a while back some one said running boost at lets say 7psi with no intercooler like I wanted to do with a ka-t, it doesnt make enough heat to make any damage, you just will loose a little power. It shouldnt matter that much.

possible? yes. advisable? ehhhh.... i would think that at low boost levels, and for a short period of time, it may work. but don't go looking for much over 7 PSI...

yea like they all said it will work, but the its not as healthy of a choice but it would still be somewhat reliable just as long as you aint runnin high boost most likely

dosent the greddy turbo kit for s14's have no intercooler.
i think its safe as long as you dont go over the above like 6 psi.
then just upgrade with a intercooler when you want more power

Yep, the GReddy Turbo Kit doesn't include the intercooler.

I wouldn't risk running without an intercooler. Think about it, are you going to risk damaging your SR20DET by leaving the intercooler option out, or are you going get an intercooler just to be on the safe side?
