Angry Help Me

Iam in need of some serious help. I just bought my Nissan 240SX and i have only had it for a week. I have just recently had trouble with it starting. It will start and then immediatly drop back down to zero and shut off. Also sometimes whenim driving the RPM's wont go they just stick at two and stop. The problem is on and off some times it starts perfect other i have to give it gas and other it wont start at all. I changed the spark plugs and took out some of the oil becasue thier was a little to much. I also added valve cleaner. Does anyone think it could be the regulator that gives the extra gas to start the car but it is just giving to mich or to little. Im in serious need of help and am looking for a solution.
