help me decide if i should buy this car complete nissan noob

i have a chance to buy a black 95 base model 240sx. it's black with only one scratch. it's a cali car so norust i can see.thhe person wants 2500 for it has 165k, new tires.NO lsd i think. what do you think i have the money for it.
should i rather go for a se better. please let me know

To me thats a good deal. But try to talk him down a few hundred due to the high miles.

dude thats a saweet deal, but if you can try lowering him down on the price but if you cant, i say get it anyway, thats downright cheap for a s14

okayi might be able to get it for a lil less. but here is the thhe dilema. would i rather just get the se because in the long run if i have to mod this car would it cost me more money. well let me know i need to mke a decisin fast ahhah

there's no real difference between the base and the SE, only real difference is SE's are 5-lug and I think there's a chance they could have an LSD, also I think SE's have white gauges or something, not too sure, someone with an s14 help me out, I'm tired

Even with that kind of miles that car is worth around 4gs, snap it up while you can.

theres no real difference other than the 5 lug, thats the obviuos differnce, im not sure about anything else, but its all the same from what i can tell, in essence it should cause relatively the same if you were to mod a SE, just depends on what you wish to do...

what mods are you planning on doing?

Just take the base model, get some gauges, convert to 5 lug and its pretty much an SE.

i probably gong to swap in a sr20det. i have been working on hondas for years, going to somethhing new. what factory lsd options do i have. from a 300zx what year?

okay what is the advantages of a 5 lug conversion. does it have bigger brake?

nah, you just have more options in rims, haha, if you want bigger brakes, you can always do the 300zx brake conversion
