I just picked up a 95 parts car to feed my 96.

I know some of the 95's were obd 1 and some were obd 2.

The obd 2 port on my 96 is under the steering wheel. I looked on the parts car, and there is not one there. However, under the passenger side airbag, basically right behind the radio, there is a port that looks like the obd 2 port.

Is that where they were on 95's????? How can i tell for sure if i have obd2 or obd 1 in my parts car!!!???





Also, IF i do have obd1 in my parts car, can i still use the tranny on my obd2 car, without throwing any codes????? I'm pretty sure i'll have to use my existing manifold, and just change blocks if it is obd 1.....right???
